Board of Directors
The Board of Directors oversees the management of Stellus’s business operations and ensures the long-term interests of Stellus’s stakeholders are served. Our board members bring with them decades of experience in cloud, storage, security, disaster recovery, semiconductor and business continuity technologies.
Young Sohn is corporate President and Chief Strategy Officer for Samsung. He leads development and strategy for global innovation, investment and new business creation. Prior to joining Samsung, Young served as CEO of Oak Technologies, Agilent Semiconductor and Inphi Corporation. Under his leadership as CEO and board member, he took PLX Technologies, Synnex Technologies and Inphi public. He also has served on the boards of ARM, Synnex and Cymer, Inc.
Stellus Advisory Board is made up of professionals with extensive experience and responsibility in the information technology market. Each member brings a unique and valuable perspective of the challenges companies face to make sense of their data.
Kidd has an extensive background in storage, networking, software and high-performance systems. As a senior vice president in NetApp product operations, Kidd was responsible for engineering of NAS, SAN, data protection, and management products. Prior to joining NetApp, he was chief technology officer and vice president of Product Management at Brocade, where he was vital to developing and implementing the Brocade product road map, including infrastructure and strategic evangelism.
Fred Weber is well known for his ten years of leadership at AMD, where he served as Chief Technical Officer and Corporate Vice President, as well as Vice President of Design. He led the team that developed the architecture for the Opteron and Athlon 64 chips. These chips were the first based around the pervasive x86 architecture that could process both 32-bit and 64-bit software and was named one of the 25 most influential CTOs by InfoWorld Magazine
Scott McNealy is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems in 1982 along with Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy, and Andy Bechtolsheim. In 2004, while still at Sun, McNealy founded Curriki, a free online education service. In 2011, he co-founded Wayin, a social intelligence and visualization company based in Denver. In 2017, Scott joined the golf app startup 18Birdies as advisor and equity partner and in early 2018, he joined the Redis Labs Advisory Board.
